The 3.5 million euro European Union project, Technical Assistance for Empowering SMEs for Networking and Inter-regional Cooperation was the first large scale "networking" project for SMEs in Turkey. The project covered the 5 provinces of Trabzon, Çorum, Samsun, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep. It aimed to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in these regions via the development and piloting of cluster-based inter and intra-regional networking and cooperation strategies.
An identity, stationery, leaflet, launch materials and branding guidelines were developed. A preliminary website was designed and put online prior to a comprehensive project portal being developed.
