Clustering has emerged in Europe and now Asia as an important approach to accelerate a country's economic competitiveness. In line with this trend the European Union supplied 6 million euros in funds for the project Development of a Clustering Policy for Turkey. The project aims at improving selected competitive sectors of Turkey which could then serve as a basis for a national clustering policy. As a result Turkey has taken the bold and innovative step of being one of the few countries with a national clustering policy. The project was carried out in partnership with the Undersecretariat for Foreign Trade between March 2007 and March 2009.

In addition to designing and overseeing production of all visibility materials, key requirements included working closely with the technical assistant team, liasing with stakeholders, participating in high-level ministry meetings and giving presentations.
